The World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) are back for their fourth edition!
Among the 5 disciplines presented, Counter Strike: Global Offensive will be part of this year again, with no less than $1 million in cash prizes and 24 teams from all over the world, all gathered in March 2020 in Chongqing. Moreover, we are invited to the closed qualification of the Western European region and there is still time to join us thanks to the open qualifications.
At WESG, each team represents its structure, but also its country like a real world cup! Unlike the other editions, this year the rule imposing 5 players of the same nationality in each team has been reduced, it now requires at least 3 players of the same nationality to be able to participate in the competition. By respecting this rule, it is possible for any team to try to qualify through open qualifications which then allow to reach closed qualifications where some teams are already invited.
The Western European region includes: France, Belgium, Great Britain, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Monaco and the Netherlands. There are 2 open qualifying sessions for all these teams, the first one was held last weekend, but there is still time to register for the second session that will take place on November 26-27: Open Qualifier
Each open qualification offers 2 slots to join the 4 teams already invited, including Team LDLC. This final stage, from December 9 to 20, will allow one of the 8 teams to qualify for the finals in China and represent Western Europe and perhaps France! Good luck to all the teams and see you on December 9th to support our foxes!
